It is also known as the 'flood balcony', because in winter people watch the floods pour toward the Arava from here.\n\nThere are two rappel lines on a slab: on the south side, close to the jeep track, anchoring is on large boulders, and on the north side there are Parks Authority chemical bolts. The rappel is easy, and the site is for rappelling only.\n\nOrdinary cars reach a Mekorot water building by a jeep track off Route 90, and continue on foot from there. 4x4 vehicles can drive to the cliff edge, and jeep owners can also come from the Nahal Tamar overnight campsite via the Hatzera pools, on a track with rock steps and side (מימין לכביש לבאים מצומת הערבה). פונים לכיוון השביל וממשיכים בנסיעה בערך ק״מ אחד. זהו שביל עביר גם לרכבים פרטיים בשלב זה. לאחר בערך ק״מ אחד של קצת פיתולים ועליות, ישנה ירידה די חדה ומגיעים למישור, ממש לפני הירידה לערוץ הנחל. שם כדאי להחנות רכבים פרטיים ולהמשיך ברגל על סימון השבילים הכחול. השביל היורד לנחל רעוע ומומלץ ליסוע בו רק עם רכבים המתאימים לכך. ממשיכים על השביל הכחול שבשלב הירידה לנחל מתעקל דרומה, ולאחר כ-10 דק׳ הליכה השביל חוצה את הנחל ממש באיזור של המפל
